privacy STATEMENT

Collection of your personal information

There are many aspects of the Banking and Financial Services Oath (BFSO) website which can be viewed without providing personal information, however, when you commit as a Signatory to the BFSO you are required to submit personally identifiable information. This includes at minimum your name and email address. The other fields are not mandatory.

Becoming a signatory means that you are automatically opted into accepting regular communications from the BFSO. This includes a quarterly newsletter and a fortnightly ethical dilemma. You can opt out of receiving these communications at the time of becoming a signatory.

We will not knowingly share your details with any unrelated party, other than in the very exceptional circumstance of being legally obliged to do so.

Use of your personal information

The information collected will be used to verify your name and email as genuine and then to publish on the BFSO signatory list which is publicly available on the BFSO website. We may also use the data collected to determine the reach of the BFSO initiative, such as analysing signatories by location and organisation.

We will not contact you other than in relation to your commitment to the BFSO as a signatory, unless you indicate your interest in other initiatives.

If you no longer wish to be a signatory to The BFSO, please let us know at bfso@ethics.org.au

Accessing Your Personal Information

You have a right to access your personal information, subject to exceptions allowed by law.
